“One is fostering a collaborative model built abound risk-based frameworks like the NIST framework,” Ross said, referring to the technical standards agency’s popular digital defense guidelines. “The idea is not to shove it down anyone else's throats, but look at, how we can collectively manage risk and collaborate on incident response and across borders using common frameworks?” That could mean a deal in a “cybersecurity section that asks the parties to commit to a basically collaborative approach around risk-based frameworks.”
